Pray without Ceasing

May 9, 2024

As I sit here in East Africa at a Bible College, I hear a Muslim call to prayer nearby. Sometimes the loud speaker’s call is drowned out by the noisy adjacent factories. Nevertheless, as believers in Christ, we should “pray without ceasing” with thanksgiving in our hearts for the lost souls around us. We should also pray for one another to remain “steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing our toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I Cor. 15:58.

In other words, as we see civilization collapse around us, remember we are citizens of heaven and aliens here, looking for another world to come. And it may be sooner than we imagine. So keep going and don’t give up!
