Certainty Amidst Uncertain Times

July 17, 2014

Perusing the papers each day reveal what we have always seen in human history: brutality, chaos, moral degeneration and a breakdown of civility.  Dangers are  everywhere.  How are we to think in such perilous times?  What are we to do as servants of the Master?

How are we to think?  We are to remind ourselves we are simply aliens and strangers on this earth, awaiting the new world of righteousness yet to come (Phil. 3:20).  Like a laser, we must focus on this apocalyptic truth so as to escape the daily barage of progressive logomachy (I John 3:1,2; Rev. 19-22).  Otherwise, as believers, we will “go mad”!

What are we to do?  We are to continue to “do good to all men, particularly to those who are of the household of the faith (Gal. 6:10)”.   We are to continue to be a people zealous for good deeds (Titus 2:14).

In this way, when we face the judgement seat of Christ, we can hear the words, “well done,  good and faithful slave” (II Cor. 5:10; Matt. 24:21).  Is this not what we all really want?  So amidst the turmoil both within our own nation or the turmoils abroad, maintain your focus and just keep doing His eternal good.

Here at CrossLife, we are determined to block out the “noise of this cosmos” and continue to plant His worshipping Bodies everywhere, particularly in the least reach places of our planet, all for His glory.
